May 19, 2015

Don't miss seeing at least one of the wonderful Wendy Blaxland's fascinating historical plays!

About to commence its world premiere season:

Pioneers in Petticoats

Meet four amazing pioneer women: Mary Bryant, convict escapee; Fanny Macleay, unsung scientist; Eliza Hawkins, child pioneer and Lola Montes, goldfields dancer. All these characters are brilliantly played by extraordinary actress Brigid O'Sullivan.

To be staged at:
Brush Farm House, Eastwood (Explorer Gregory Blaxland's restored home)
on Sat 23rd May, at 2pm and 6pm.

Also at beautiful Eskbank House and Museum, Lithgow
on Sat 30th May, at 2pm and 6pm

Also, by popular demand, one more performance of

Crossing

Travel back 200 years to cross the Blue Mountains with Blaxland, Wentworth and Lawson. Listen to echoes from the Aboriginal past, explore with surveyor Evans, and watch Cox and his convicts build the road to Bathurst.

Wendy and her co-producer daughter Jessica Blaxland Ashby are descendants of Gregory Blaxland.

To be staged at
Wentworth Falls School of Arts
on Sat 13th June, at 2pm
