Project Portfolio, 2019 is a two-part series, designed to help us turn our creative dreams into a reality.
Project Portfolio: Part One — Preparation then, six months later
Project Portfolio: Part Two — Pitch.
The week-long online events will showcase daily workshops, interviews, case studies (and giveaways) from industry experts and the creative community, to inspire us to work on our portfolios so that we can kick-start, continue or build a living doing what we love.
Project Portfolio: Part One will run from 18-24 March 2019 … and it’s free!
Free video interviews
Free mini-workshops
Free advice
Free giveaways and much, much more!
You’ll be inspired by illustrators and artists whose regular practice helped develop and deepen their own style and productivity. You’ll also hear from illustrators who’ve recently showcased their portfolios at the Bologna Children’s Book Fair, SCBWI Sydney and New York Winter Conference! And if that’s not enough, there will be workshops on how to write the perfect bio and deliver the perfect portfolio pitch.
At the end of the day, a portfolio is how creatives find work. So to help with the business side of things, there will be sessions on planning, branding, how to create a sustainable business and how to transition from part-time to full-time artist. And if you need advice on getting your work online, there are sessions on the importance of communities and how online competitions and challenges led to paid work. You’ll also get advice on how to build an online portfolio as well as how to make your art work harder for you.
Project Portfolio has everything to help illustrators and writers take the next step to become a success in the industry they love! Sign-up and join the online community of illustrators, artists and creatives also working on their portfolios.
