Writing and drawing for kids can be an incredible but also isolating and lonely experience. One thing that makes it so much better is the company of other creators. Margaret Roc has been the SCBWI Online Critique Coordinator for the last 10 years. In that time, she has overseen the creation and coordination of many new groups. SCBWI would like to thank Margaret for volunteering for this position, for being so unflappable and working so tirelessly to help SCBWI members meet other creators, make new friends, share ideas, improve their craft and find success in the publishing world.
We are very excited to announce the new coordinator will be Amanda Leiber. Amanda is passionate about all forms of storytelling, especially for children. She wants her stories to inspire, bring happiness, laugh out loud moments, and to be used as a platform to discuss sensitive issues raised through their subtle messages. She is the author of My Giant Seashell, which was shortlisted for Book of the Year in the Speech Pathology Awards.
A big thank you to Margaret and Amanda from the SCBWI team.
