Hello writers!
Just a quick update onthe Far North SCBWI group:
Our numbers up here seem to be growing. We had a great meeting last month with the largest turnout yet. Many of us had attended Pam Rushby’s two Cairns workshops on Writing for the Educational Market and Pitches and shared information with the others.
We also had a short presentation on self-editing which led to some great discussion. Our elevator pitches are still coming along. Quite a few members read theirs and were able to give and receive some valuable feedback.
In more specific member news, Kay Crabbe, author of The Pearl-shell Diver was asked to sit on a panel at the Historical Novel Society of Australia in Melbourne. Here’s the link:
