Susanne Gervay's Elephants Have Wings to be launched

November 3, 2014

Our wonderful Regional Advisor Susanne Gervay's amazing new picture book

Elephants Have Wings

has already been awarded the Blake Prize logo, the first children's book to every to be thus honoured! And it hasn't even been officially launched yet!

Illustrated by Anna Pignataro

Published by Ford Street Publishing
isbn 978 1925000399 (hardback)
isbn 9781925000405 (paperback)

As elephants have brought wisdom to the world, we must be wise. As elephants take us on a spiritual and philosophical  journey of truth, we must seek truth. As elephants have protected us for generations, we must protect them now. At its heart the book is the search for truth and peace across faiths, beliefs and ethnicities, to be shared with young people and adults.

To be launched by at the Children's Bookshop
6, Hannah Street, Beecroft on Sat 15th November 2014 at 3pm

(after fellow SCBWI member Wendy Blaxland's launch of The Christmas Rose at 1.30pm)
by Sharon Rundle, Chair UTS Writers' Alumni, and founding member of the Asia Pacific Writers and Translators. She's also a life member of the Indian Association For the Study of Australia.
RSVP by 11 November:  staff@the childrensbookshop.com.au

Sounds and looks like an extraordinary book - congrats Susanne!
