Katrina Germein's new picture book

July 17, 2020

Congrats to Katrina Germein on the August 1 publication of

Shoo You Crocodile!

Illustrated by Tom Jellett

Published by Little Book Press (Raising Literacy Australia), in hardback

For early years and junior primary readers.

Oh no! The museum’s crocodile has escaped and it’s chasing all the children.
Chomp! Chomp! Chomp!
What will make it go away?
Let’s try making LOTS of noise.

A fun, raucous romp for imaginative young readers and small brave adventurers.

Little Book Press is the publishing arm of Raising Literacy Australia (RLA). Books can be purchased here.

Definitely a winning combination - congrats again Katrina!

Dale Baker's new junior novel

July 17, 2020

Congrats to Dale Baker on her fab text and illustrations for

The World’s #1 Talking Bum

Published by Clever Kids Books, in paperback, on June 3rd

For ages 7 - 11.

Big Things happened in 1984. The first Apple personal computer was released, Los Angeles held the Olympics, and my bum started talking. The news didn’t report on it as I didn’t let anyone know … Until NOW.

The perfect graphic novel/chapter book for reluctant young readers. Funny and clever. It’s a cracker! Take a look at this short preview animation.

Sounds and looks like a winner - congrats again Dale!

New picture book for Anil Tortop

June 30, 2020

Congrats to Anil Tortup for her gorgeous illustrations for

Tippy and Jellybean

Written by Sophie Cunningham

Published by Allen and Unwin (Albert Street Books), in hardback

For ages 3 - 6.

This is the uplifting true story of a koala who saved her baby from a bushfire, and the dedicated vets who looked after them until they were healed and ready to go home.

The publisher will donate $1 from every copy of this book sold, to the Bushfire Emergency Wildlife Fund to help fund emergency veterinary assistance and scientific intervention.

Great stuff - congrats again Anil!
