The 2023 Russell Prize was awarded to 'Rita's Revenge', the story of a duck who has a secret longing to be a poet. 'Rita's Revenge' is a companion novel to 'A Clue for Clara'.

The shortlist was compiled by adults, including comedian Wendy Harmer. The winner was chosen by a panel of children.

Fantastic to be recognised by children. Congratulations Lian and of course, Rita!
