Dear SCBWI (VIC) members

August already! We hope you've been keeping warm and spending winter rugged up with a cuppa and a pencil (or paintbrush, crayon, laptop...?) in your hand... With only a few weeks to go, it's time to announce the line-up of our next SCBWI Vic event, taking place at the fabulous Library at the Dock on Saturday 5 September.
 
Our guest speaker will be Maryann Ballantyne, the wonderful publishing director of Wild Dog Books, and our member speakers will be illustrator Annie White and author Rebecca Fraser.
 
As usual, you can look forward to a delicious afternoon tea in the downstairs activity space, with lots of time to chat and mingle. We hope you can join us for another inspiring afternoon.
 
The format for the event is outlined below.
 
2.00 Community room: Entry, name tags and getting seated
2.10 Welcome, introduction and housekeeping
2.15 Show and Tell
2.30 Member speaker – illustrator Annie White
2.50 Member speaker – author Rebecca Fraser 
3.10 Afternoon tea
3.50 Guest speaker – Maryann Ballantyne
4.35 Lucky door prize 
4.45 Close and optional drinks at a nearby venue
