Explore how to target different age groups, tailor sessions for primary versus secondary students, pitch to schools, and design presentations that suit your book and creative style. From classroom workshops to large-scale presentations, this webinar will help you develop engaging, interactive visits that work for both fiction and non-fiction creators.

Tuesday 30 June, 7.30-8.30pm
Dynamic Writing Workshops for Storytellers

Building on the foundations of school visits, this webinar focuses on the creative side of delivering writing workshops for aspiring writers of all ages, including adults. Discover ideas for workshop structure, writing prompts, interactive activities and facilitation techniques that encourage creativity, participation and confidence. Perfect for authors and illustrators wanting to create memorable, hands-on experiences that inspire future storytellers.

Tickets will be sold separately. Cost per session is $25 for SCBWI members and $45 for non-members and may be purchased via Trybooking. Both sessions will be recorded. Recordings will only be available for 14 days after the event.

Following the workshops attending SCBWI members will be given the option to purchase a critique from Judith of a written workshop proposal.

To further support our members, SCBWI Tasmania is looking at providing opportunities to deliver a practice workshop. Let us know if you are interested in finding out more about this.
