Dave Lowe is the Brisbane-based author of thirteen children’s books and four plays. His ‘Stinky and Jinks’ series, about a boy and his genius hamster, has been translated into six languages and sold over 200,000 copies worldwide. Dave’s The Incredible Dadventure series follows the hilarious, death-defying adventures of Holly and her explorer dad. The first book in the series won the Teach Primary Award and the Lancashire Fantastic Book Award in the UK.

For the stage, Dave has adapted Andy Griffiths’ Aussie classic The Day My Bum Went Psycho, as well as adapting his own book, My Hamster is a Genius, and two original fractured fairytales: Goldie! The Untold Story of Goldilocks and Cinderella and the seven dwarfs.

In 2023, Dave released Rocket, a middle grade about 12-year-old Maddy, who moves to Central-West Queensland away from her soccer team, but still dreams of playing for The Matildas; and, with Hachette, the first book in a series for younger readers, Pixies vs Fairies.

Dave has also co-written an episode – ‘Café’ – of the TV show, Bluey, and is working with Ludo on more episodes.
