MP David Shoebridge gave a Notice of Motion in the NSW parliament in support of quality libraries in schools run by qualified teacher librarians.
He argues that libraries should be the heart of every school and that investment in school libraries is essential!
Anyone, ANYONE, who works with kids, schools, libraries and books, knows how vital a healthy library is for the education, success and happiness of kids. Having a passionate and knowledgeable librarian to foster a love of reading and direct to them to books that will lift and inspire them, helps set kids up for a successful life.
