Judy Watson's new picture book

September 17, 2019

Congrats to Judy Watson for her wonderful illustrations for

Leonard Doesn’t Dance

Written by Frances Watts

Published by ABC Books (Harper Collins), in hardback

For ages 3+

All the birds are excited about the Big Beaky Bird Ball. The puffins are prancing, the rosellas are rocking, and you should see the flamingo go-go-go! Everyone is jumping and jiving, but not Leonard … until an unexpected encounter changes everything.

A picture book about friendship, courage and finding your groove.

Looks - and sounds - fab! Congrats again Judy!

Jane Smith's new junior fiction novel, plus a shortlisting

August 26, 2019

Congrats to Jane Smith on the publication of

The Masked Man

Published by Big Sky Publishing, in paperback

For ages 6 - 11.

When his father’s car breaks down, Tommy is stranded overnight in a strange country town. Things get weird when he finds himself roaming deserted streets in the moonlight - way back in 1869! And in the middle of an armed robbery!

The Masked Man is the 8th book in the historical fiction Tommy Bell, Bushranger Boy series. Plus Jane has recently heard that Book 7 in the same series, The Runaway, has been shortlisted for the Speech Pathology Australia Book of the Year Awards.

Great news - congrats on both counts Jane!
