Published by Wild Dog Books, in paperback

For ages 7 - 12.

The CBCA Eve Pownall Award is giving to outstanding non-fiction books with the prime intention of documenting factual material. Consideration is given to imaginative presentation, interpretation and variation of style.

This is Lorna’s second Honour Book Award in this CBCA award category! Wow - double congrats Lorna!

ABIA award for Josh Langley

Congrats to Josh Langley on being awarded

ABIA Small Publishers Childrens Book of the Year 2018

for both the text and illustrations for his non-fiction picture book

It's OK To Feel the Way You Do

Published by Big Sky Publishing, in paperback

for ages 5 - 11.

This book helps kids to get to know and make friends with their feelings. It uses simple and effective ways for them to notice and handle difficult emotions like anger, anxiety and loss. It also helps them rejoice in positive feelings.

Congrats to talented illustrator Maxine Hamilton on winning a coveted

Pinerolo Illustrators Residency, 2018

Maxine is to be mentored by the legendary Margaret Hamilton. She's thrilled about this wonderful opportunity, and can't wait for a week dedicated to working on children's books. Her thanks go to Westwords and Pinerolo.

Richly deserved, if this illustration is anything to go by! Congrats again Maxine!
